Poortenga Studios exists to serve discerning clients in Western Michigan who appreciate the high degree of customer service necessary to create the very finest quality photography: portraiture that graces the home and touches the heart.

Linda Poortenga is our signature photographer and owner. Linda is well recognized in portrait photography. She has earned international acclaim in high school senior and child portraiture. Her portraits have received multiple international awards and Linda has been honored with the Accolade of Photographic Mastery as well as the Accolade of Outstanding Photographic Achievement.

But Linda is much more than an award-winning photographer when it comes to children. She also holds a degree in elementary education, and is a loving mother of three. Linda has a gift with children and always seems to find those precious, defining expressions for your portraiture.

In fact, we consider children and their relationships to be our specialty. We treasure children and our new studio is a relaxed, patient place built to make children feel at home. We are flexible in our scheduling and will work around illness and circumstance.

After your session, you are invited back for the "portrait premier" in the studio where you select your favorite images and may ask Linda for her artistic advice. All retouching and creative work is done in our studio, thus assuring you the highest level of quality and service.
